The Tejas Storytelling Conference is your biennial opportunity to dive deep into the craft, whether you use storytelling in your profession, your vocation, or your avocation. The conference theme, "Learn. Practice. Perform," guides a powerful two-day program designed to elevate every aspect of your narrative art.

What You Will Experience

Over Friday and Saturday in June 12-13, 2026  the conference features six concurrent sessions, each offering three workshops tailored to your skill level:

• Beginner Track: Master the fundamentals, from Finding Your Story Spark and Basic Story Structureto using Props and Puppets.
• Intermediate Track: Layer Your Narrative, explore Dialogue & Detail, perfect Storytelling with Humor & Heart, and learn to research Historical Stories with integrity.
• Advanced Track: Refine your art with The Storyteller’s Voice, learn to use Silence in Storytelling, and get expert guidance on The Business of Storytelling from seasoned professionals.

Master Coaching & Keynote Speakers

Gain inspiration and direct, professional guidance from master storytellers:

• Keynotes: Hear from master storyteller DeeCee Cornish on “Stories That Carry Us Home” and receive closing inspiration from Bernadette Nason on “The Power of Personal Narrative”.
• Advanced Coaching: A unique highlight of the conference is the opportunity to receive live, expert feedback in the Storyteller Studio coaching labs with Bernadette Nason and DeeCee Cornish.
